Orchestra Gold have been rising in the fertile Bay Area music scene over the past year and we are excited to have them picking records for the night. Their selections are sure to draw from their rich and diverse musical lineage.

A little about the band…Fronted by the charismatic Malian singer and dancer Mariam Diakité, Orchestra Gold (OG) plays an original stew of African–inspired rock and soul music. Drawing deeply on Mali’s musical history, OG blends analog, rhythmic dance music together with elements of the psychedelic soul of 60’s era West Africa. With roots Malian drumming and the deep wisdom of Mariam’s vocals, OG moves audiences from the inside out.
