PRIVATE LISTENING SESSIONS
Experience the incredible sound of our 100% analog, audiophile stereo system in all it’s glory. Private listening sessions are available to book on most afternoons and on some Sunday evenings. Each session can be up to 2.5 hours and you can host up to 25 people. Limited beverage menu available (highballs, beer, wine & spirits… no cocktails). PRIVATE EVENTS
If you would like to inquire about booking a fully private party or event, please read all of our guidelines and FAQs below and then FILL OUT THIS FORM. Please note that all guests must be at least 21 (no exceptions).
For real though, read the FAQs and fill out the form, they are really helpful to make sure our space is the right space for your event and avoid any unnecessary back-and-forth.
PRIVATE EVENT FAQS
What are your rates? Rates vary by day of the week, event time and duration, party size and details.
Can we curate our own music? You can curate record selections from our collection, provide inspiration to our in-house curation team or do a combination of both. Note, due to the nature of our audiophile sound system, we play full albums only and our team manages playback (i.e., outside DJs not permitted).
What will the drink menu look like? A selection of house cocktails, classics, beer & wine; additional options (e.g., high end spirits) available for added fee. Outside beverages of any kind not permitted. Hosts may choose to offer a hosted or cash bar, provided they are responsible for meeting the bar minimum.
Can we bring in food? Pre-prepared and delivered cocktail party bites permitted through one of our preferred catering partners and in accordance with our catering guidelines. Seated dining, hot food buffets and the like are not permitted.
Can we bring in our own decor//decorations? Outside decor and items such as balloons, large signage, step-and-repeats, photo booths, etc. are expressly prohibited. We typically don’t allow anything disposable or waste-generating.
Can we bring A/V equipment? To preserve the analog nature and vibe of Bar Shiru, we do not permit any outside audiovisual equipment, including screens, projectors or DJ equipment. Microphone and small speaker available upon request.
