Membership Overview and Terms

The Bar Shiru Whisky Club is a 6-month membership program where you get access to incredible and rare whiskys from the US, Japan and other regions. The second season runs from July 8, 2024 to December 2024 and there are only 22 spots available, so don’t miss your opportunity to participate in this very special experience.

A 6-month membership includes:

• A 1oz pour of each of the six whiskys of the month

• A 10% discount on any other beverages purchased by you, any time you visit Bar Shiru (excluding large group reservations, private bookings and special events)

• Access to reservations for 1-2 people on any night we are open and waitlist priority for parties of 1-4 on busy nights

• An invitation for you and 1 guest to a Whisky Club member social, during which you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the last whisky release of the season together, select a record from our stacks and enjoy some special surprises. For Season 2 members, the event will be held on Sunday December 1st from 3-6pm.

How it Works & Important FAQs

Accessing Membership Benefits. We will mail Whisky Club membership card, along with a summary of the program details and how to access reservations at the end of June. You must bring your membership card and ID in order to taste the whiskys and access your other membership benefits.

When do you release each whisky of the month? The first whisky will be released on Monday July 8th (due to summer closure) and on the 1st of every month thereafter. You can only try each whisky once and we’ll punch your membership card to help you keep track.

What bottles of whisk(e)y will we be tasting? We will have a varied selection of highly sought-after and difficult to find whiskies from the US, Japan and elsewhere.

If I’m with a group, does the discount apply to our total bill? Yes, so long as your party is 6 people or less and all the drinks are purchased by you, on your tab. The discount does not apply to semi-private or large party bookings, private bookings or special events (e.g. Whisky and Wax).

How do I make a reservation? We will send you a private link to book a reservation on Tock. The reservation must be in your name and you must be present in order to be seated. In other words, you cannot use your membership to make reservations for other people. The same rules extend to waitlist priority.

What is waitlist priority? If we are at capacity, you may present your membership card at the door and you will be added to the waitlist. From there, you will be prioritized for entry as soon as either standing room or seats opens up.

Can I bring a guest to the Whisky Club Social? Yes! We will email invitations out to you a month prior to the event. You can RSVP for yourself and 1 guest.

Will my membership renew at the end of the season? No, you will need to purchase an additional membership for any subsequent Whisky Club seasons. However, we will extend a 10% discount to prior Whisky Club members.
